I am starting this venture out at 176.4 lbs. At a mere 5’3” in height, I have about 40 or 50 lbs to lose. I don’t think I’ll lose that much this week but maybe I can at least cut out 2 or 3 to start.
Whole Wheat Bagel with Cream Cheese, Apple Juice
My first breakfast was super easy – a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese, yogurt, and apple juice. I normally have a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast so it was nice to have something typical as a beginning. In a surprising turn, I didn’t use all of the cream cheese that they gave me. I had more than enough slathered on my bagel and still had about 1/3 of the little container left. It left me feeling pretty good about this whole thing. If I can cut out the massive amount of cream cheese I usually use on the first day, there is a possibility that I can actually do this!
The apple juice was still a little frozen from the transport box yesterday. It wasn’t completely frozen, just enough to make it a bit like a slushie. I actually enjoyed it that way. It felt like a little snack, like I was cheating on the very first day.
Since a bagel is my typical breakfast, I didn’t eat the yogurt right away. I am going to save it for a snack later. I know I usually get hungry again around 10AM. That should be a good pick-me-up.
So, I would rate this particular meal a great success. This was probably the best way to begin a new way of eating.
