DiettoGo – Day 3, Breakfast: Cinnamon Raisin Bagel, Cream Cheese, Applesauce, Yogurt Drink

Today has already been a little hard on me. I didn’t sleep well last night. As a result, I felt awful when I woke up this morning. My menu plan had me eating Mushroom Strata and Chicken Sausage but I knew my stomach couldn’t handle that today. Since the information packet said I could eat my food in any order, I decided to hold off on the strata and eat a bagel instead.  I think it was a good choice. I love this flexibility that DiettoGo has in terms of what you can eat.

It’s bagel time!


Cinnamon Raisin is my absolute favorite flavor of bagel.  I would probably never eat another flavor of bagel if I had the choice. Unfortunately, no one else in my house likes them. So I end up eating a lot of plain bagels, which is so boring. This particular bagel was quite delicious. I did have some issues splitting the two halves apart but it wasn’t anything a sharp knife couldn’t fix. The raisins were soft and moist, even after a quick run through the toaster. Once again, the packet of cream cheese was more than enough to satisfy my needs.

Strangely, there was also a small packet of strawberry preserves in the package. There wasn’t anything on the menu about preserves with this particular meal. It is possible that it was accidentally tossed in the package. Strawberry preserves on a cinnamon raisin bagel sounds like a weird combination anyway. I just put the packet in my fridge in case I want to use it with a later meal.


No spoon needed for this yogurt.

The Dannon DanActive yogurt drink was also delicious. I received the strawberry flavored one. Again, this is one of my favorite flavors. I’ve never had a yogurt drink before. It was surprisingly smooth and easy to drink right out of the container. I’m actually interested in trying some of the other flavors in this line. I think even a plain vanilla one could be really good.

Due to my cranky stomach, I did not eat the applesauce with my breakfast. I am saving it for a mid-morning snack. Hopefully, my stomach will have calmed down by then and I won’t have any more issues with food today. My lunch looks really interesting today. I would like to be able to eat it.
